Gilgit-Baltistan is home to five of the world’s fourteen 8,000-metre peaks, the Karakoram Highway and valleys such as Hunza, Skardu, Shigar and Khaplu. Our Gilgit-Baltistan tour packages cover the region by road along the Karakoram Highway or by air into Gilgit and Skardu, with private transport, hand-picked hotels and local drivers throughout.
Every package below shows its live price per person. You reserve with nothing to pay, we confirm availability, and a 30% deposit secures the trip.
- Best time
- April to October. Blossom in April, high passes open June to September, autumn colours in late October.
- Ideal length
- 6–10 days for Hunza and Skardu together; 4–5 days for one valley by air.
- By air
- Flights from Islamabad to Gilgit and to Skardu take about an hour. They are weather-dependent, so we plan a buffer day and switch to road if a flight is cancelled.
- By road
- The Karakoram Highway runs from Islamabad to Gilgit and Hunza in about two days, with an overnight stop on the way. In summer the faster Naran–Babusar route is usually open as well.

Northern Pakistan tour FAQs
What is the best time for a Gilgit-Baltistan tour?
April to October. April brings apricot and cherry blossom, June to September is best for Deosai, Fairy Meadows and the high passes, and late October has the autumn colours. Winter trips to Hunza are possible but some roads and passes close.
How many days do I need for Gilgit-Baltistan?
Six to ten days covers Hunza and Skardu together comfortably by road. By air, four or five days is enough for one valley, such as Hunza or Skardu.
Is it better to travel by air or by road?
By air saves two days of driving each way but flights are weather-dependent. By road is more reliable, cheaper, and the Karakoram Highway is a highlight in itself. Many travellers fly one way and drive the other.
How much does a Gilgit-Baltistan tour cost?
Prices depend on the length, hotels and whether you fly. The price guide on this page lists the live starting price per person for every package we currently run.
Is Gilgit-Baltistan safe for families and foreign tourists?
Gilgit-Baltistan is one of Pakistan’s most visited regions and is generally considered safe for families and foreign visitors. Our drivers know the roads and we follow local advice on weather and road conditions.
How do I book and pay?
Choose a package and reserve online with nothing to pay. We confirm availability, then you pay a 30% deposit; the balance is due before departure. Every payment gets a written receipt.
