Where is Rama Lake?
Rama Lake lies above Astore town in a forested valley beneath the east face of Nanga Parbat.
How to get there
Turn off the Karakoram Highway near Jaglot and drive up the Astore valley (about 3 hours from Gilgit). A jeep track leads to Rama Meadows, and a short hike reaches the lake.
When to go
June to September. Snow closes the upper valley for the rest of the year.
